I read that the batteries left the factory fully charged and that it caused them to degrade in storage.
The battery is really easy to take out if you make your hand into a C shape. Thumb at the bottom and your fingers at the top and just kind of pull your fingers inward.
Well, it seems to me, there are a lot of people here who spent a lot of money on their drone, and therefore, this particular one is automatically junk huh? LOL 😉 ( Haters gonna hate right? LOL ) ~ Well for a less than 8.8oz drone , and getting it for $100, I'll try it, I only want it for very simple stuff a few dozen feet up, nothing spectacular.
Please, can you do another review with the updated firmware?

That things looks like garbage
Have you actually managed to get the S6 up to the 8m/s? My S6 won't go anywhere near that fast, despite beginner mode being off and the speed set to high. The app also states that the speed is restricted to 2.5m/s when controlled with a mobile device. Is there any way around this? I am wasting so much of the (already short) battery getting the S6 in to position. I need to get it there quicker.
I bought one of these last week form $199 at Best Buy. First drone I've ever had or operated. So far it's been very easy to learn and operate.
Good video. Best Buy just dropped dropped to $200 and after seeing this video I still think its a bit high. Thanks again I think Ill pass on this one and look for another.
Save your money for a real drone. Out of the box this one failed.
They screwed up on the Batteries….
The best thing about this drone? You can fly it right into the landfill where it belongs.
Absolutely right in your review. I shot a full episode of my travel show in Peru with this drone, here is some problem. 1. battery life are two to three minutes if it is cold, 2. no stabilization makes video footage useless even with little bit of wind, 3. will not fly in high altitude like Machu Picchu

I bought a Propel Star Wars x-wing battle drone for 150, and will run circles around this piece of junk… no camera on the x wing, but good controller, perfect hover, responsive, and oh soo fun for star wars fan… that to me seem a better purchase
For $260 they should throw in an actual controller, phone controls are always sloppier and less responsive. The main failing with this quad is that the 4k video is totally unusable.
